Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Okay is it just me or is DA just eating up notes? I havent been getting some that people are saying they sent me, and some im sending out arent getting sent... this is really annoying. >/

I'm going to open up commissions for a little bit. I'll only be doing CG sketches right now, as I don't have the space to do traditional art or anything at the moment.

CG: Sketch - $5-$20, up to three people in one image, can be colored monochromatic or with limited color (4 colors MAX). example: [link] [link] [link] (only this ones a little cleaner than usual)
CG: Full color - $20-$50; up to two people in one image, fully colored (more paint-like)
CG: Cutesy - $5-10 for up to two people in one image. will be flat colored. [link] [link] (style, not media) [link]

payment: Paypal only right now. NOTE ME with what you want, I'll tell you the price (since it varies depending on difficulty, color, pose, bust/fullshot, etc etc) and my paypal, and then do the art and send it to you~

My turn around time is generally within 24-48 hours (given im not doing anything or have work), I try and get them done as soon as I get them so you dont have to wait and I don't end up procrastinating.

/EDIT: turn around time is probably going to be 1-4 days now, since im back in school. just fyi.

oops, sorry it took me a while to respond to this! (been celebrating new years!)

I used to do all my coloring in painter, but right now my painter is totally crapped, so ive been doing coloring in photoshop. Heres two quick examples, except I'd probably paint over the lines now since I have a better hold of photoshop. [link] [link]
