Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Whoa!
I've been mostly gone from DA for a few months (been extremely busy and haven't really had time for art), and I come back to a DD! From a piece I did in 2006 no less. I'm floored, thank you guys so much for commenting and stopping by and all the positive support. It really means a lot to me, especially since I've been in an extremely huge art slump lately -- it's been incredibly hard for me to draw anything, motivation and inspiration kind of left me for a long time. I hope they return soon though.

Again much thanks for even just the people who randomly stop by to look at one or two images let alone watch me, the DD was a huge surprise and I'm really glad so many people liked the image. Hopefully in the next few months I can try and get back to drawing more often (thus posting). I do post quick scribbles over on my tumblr (buboplague.tumblr.com), but it's mostly garbage on lined paper from work haha.

Lots of things going on in life which have been putting me in quite the slump, so knowing my art connects with people and people take the time to look at it and appreciate it means the world to me. I want my art to really be for other people to enjoy, so this DD just really made me realize people do care, as silly as that sounds to say. It's like a nice kick in the butt to get my act together again with art. Forever grateful ♥ Everyone on here is such a beautiful person.
