I don't know how many if you are familiar with ATCs, but my sister set up a swap community for them! The community is on LJ, but the real swaps will be held on SWAPBOT, so its ok if you don't have an LJ account, you can still be apart of it and keep checking the community for updates. For all the information on how it will work and how to join, check out
HAPPY ATC INFORMNATION POST!!and heres just the community link:
[link] [link] [link]ATCs are a great way to get yourself to do little arts here and there, and a great way to collect other people's art, too. each swap the partners are assigned randomly, so its always fun to see what you'll get in the mail!
Eventually there will be a DA community where we can post our finished cards after the other person recieves them, but we haven't made it yet.
But yeah, you should all go and join, it'll be alot of fun.
the first swap sign up deadline is MONDAY and the theme is POKEMON.go do it! it'll be fun!

Count me in!
lets have fun!
At the same time, there are different "types" of ATCs and ATCers. There are people who make strict rules about what you can and cannot draw/use/etc that way people make a good effort and swappers don't wind up feeling cheated. It's a big deal and it causes a lot of drama on the ATC sites. Because then it gets into that really hairy argument of what "qualifies as art" and what "qualifies as good effort". But then again, that's sort of an issue on any-every-and-all online art communities, isn't it? You sort of have to look past all that and just have fun with it.
Should I pimp this too? Ahurhur. EVERYONE SPREAD THE WORD YAY.
