My card was the sandman. I decided to use more of Hoffmann's version of sandman, where he throws sand in the eyes of children who don't sleep, which make their eyes fall out, then he takes them to his iron nest on the moon to feed his babies.

I tried to make him kind of sandy-wispy but I think I failed. OH WELL it was fun anyway, it was the first art I've done since the beginning of the year. i shouldve worked on it more but i had to really crunch time, i wanted to get it in on the deadline.

There was an animation based on this story in the early to mid nighnties. It's a bit more dark. The sand doesn't make the eyes fall out. It just kind of blindes the children as he tares them out of their heads.

I especially like how you drew the babies.

personally, i love it. it gives off that rustic feeling almost. like it's lovely to look at, but it's coarse to the touch...idk i'm rambling again.
