Artist's Comments

These were some of the pieces I used in a merit scholarship portfolio. 6 out of 10 pieces.

edit for future reference (to admins maybe):
DA moved this from Drawing & Illustration into Scraps because "Works in progress belong in Scraps, since they are not finished pieces of art."

However, i'm moving it BACK, because even though this is a WIP of the PROJECT, this is a photo of SIX COMPLETE pieces of art.

I like what I'm seeing so far. Three pieces to go, and props to your initiative. I can't apply for scholarships until next year, but I probably will forget about it until April 2007.

A Deep Thought: Of all my relatives, my friends and I most liked "Uncle Caveman." We called him this because he lived in a cave, and sometimes, he'd eat one of us. Later on, we found out he was a bear.

So I'm guessing the theme is "Blood, guts and gore" ? Woot.

I had my portfolio done professionally, so I don't know much about that *3*; but I'd suggest taking pictures of your artwork w/o any flash in a decently lighted area? Then send the photos to whoever's doing your slides~~ gluck honey!! <33333333 Your artwork is fab as always ~

the key to reducing glare, as i've come to know it, is indirect lighting. if you're using a spotlight either using a um. buffer. or reflecting it off something white. if you're using natural light, shooting in an alcove is really. really. effective.

ahhh!!!!GoodLuck with that!! my favorite is the upside down guy.. cause that one looks like a freaking out nerd.. and i like the guy standing over the girl because he has lovely perspective<3
